NRC names Rick Ebersold to the board

National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) has appointed Rick Ebersold, president of Herzog Services, Inc., to fill a temporarily open seat on the NRC Board of Directors. The NRC Board unanimously supported the nomination made by Chairman of the Board Chris Daloisio.

 

Ebersold started with Herzog in 1973 as the company’s first full-time railroad foreman after working for the former Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for three years. He served as project manager for Herzog from 1984 to 1992 on light rail and transit projects in Buffalo, N.Y., Portland, Ore., Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md. In 1992, Ebersold became vice president of Herzog Services, Inc., and was promoted to president in 2002.

Ebersold was first elected by the NRC membership in 1998 and then, was elected by his fellow board members as secretary-treasurer in 2000, vice chairman in 2002 and chairman in 2004 for a two-year term.

He has agreed to again serve the NRC by filling out this term, which ends on December 31, 2016.
