Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (Ontario Northland) and Teamsters Rail Conference Maintenance of Way Employees Division (TCRC MWED) have reached a tentative five-year collective agreement.

“We are pleased that a fair agreement was reached with TCRC MWED that balances the interests of employees with the need to provide sustainable transportation services,” said Corina Moore, interim president and chief executive officer. “This agreement is another positive step for the organization and for strengthening our future.”

“We look forward to presenting this agreement to our members,” said Louis Wilson, president of TCRC MWED. “It is a fair agreement and we are proud of the hard work the bargaining team has done on behalf of our members.”

TCRC MWED represents 161 unionized employees who are responsible for maintaining Ontario Northland’s rail infrastructure, including track, buildings and bridges along the rail line.
