RailComm appointed Joe Forgione as president and chief executive officer, succeeding former President and CEO Joe Denny, who has steped down after almost 15 years of continuous service since founding RailComm in 1999.

Denny will continue his involvement with RailComm as the chairman of the board of directors and founder, as well as in an operational capacity leading RailComm’s new product initiatives and customer and strategic partnerships.

Commenting on the announcement, Denny said, “We are very fortunate to have grown RailComm to the extent that we can attract high-level executive talent such as Joe Forgione. Joe has an impressive technology industry background and the demonstrated experience to lead RailComm to the next level. As we introduce new rail focused products, including our industry leading cloud-based ecosystem, Joe’s experience in this area of business growth will be invaluable. I know I speak for all RailComm stakeholders in welcoming Joe to the RailComm family.”

“I am pleased to be joining a company that is a leader in the railroad automation industry,” said Forgione. “There is a unique opportunity to transform this foundational industry and deliver unprecedented safety, reliability and efficiencies by applying our technology and expertise to customers throughout the world. RailComm has the right people, knowledge and innovative technology to lead this industry transformation.”
