Based in Montreal, QB, Canada, Rivard will lead the global infrastructure engineering business unit, which provides consulting, planning and engineering services in a variety of sectors, including mass transit, railways, roads, bridges, ports and harbors, facilities, buildings, as well as water and wastewater infrastructure.
Rivard has more than 27 years of experience in the industry and joins SNC-Lavalin after eight and half years with WSP, where he was president of the company's operations in Canada, the Caribbean and France, which included more than 5,000 personnel in more than 100 offices. He also played a key role in the development, execution and integration of the firm's acquisition strategy.
Rivard worked for Stantec for 19 years, where he was a managing principal and primary lead for the firm's building engineering segment in Canada's National Capital Region. Over the course of his career, he has also successfully led a number of municipal infrastructure, transportation, industrial, power and environmental projects.
