T.Y. Lin International promotes two to vice president

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) promoted Vincent Montgomery, PE, and Paula Pienton, SE, PE, to vice president. Since joining TYLI in February 2013, Montgomery has held the position of national director of freight rail. Pienton came to TYLI in 2012 as regional market sector lead for transit and rail for TYLI's Central Region.

 

Both individuals have demonstrated a firm commitment to the growth of TYLI’s Transit and Rail LOB, which oversees the complete planning, design and construction of railways, including high-speed rail, light rail, freight rail, multi-modal facilities and maintenance yards.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the promotion of two talented engineering professionals to the rank of vice president,” said Joe Yesbeck, PE, TYLI vice president and acting director of the firm’s Transit and Rail LOB. “Both Montgomery and Pienton have close to 30 years of team leadership and project management experience in the transportation and railway industries. It is that experience, as well as their value-driven approach to each project, that has enabled them to make significant contributions in a short period of time.”

Prior to joining TYLI, Montgomery served in senior operations and project management roles for a private, 200-person Midwest consulting firm, where he negotiated and served as program manager for multi-year continuing service agreements for nearly every Class 1 railroad in North America. He also served on the board of directors of RailAmerica.

Pienton’s extensive experience with highway, transit and freight rail projects range from feasibility studies through construction services. In her first year with TYLI, while engaged in the pursuit of new projects, project production and select assignments.
