Ted Niemeyer, P.E., has joined V3 Companies as its director of railroad services, heading up its Railroad Engineering Practice.

Niemeyer brings more than 40 years of railroad experience to V3 Companies, including 18 years in engineering management for the Chicago & NorthWestern Railway and 25 years as the founder and principal of Niemeyer & Associates, a full-service railroad engineering firm. He specializes in railroad planning, evaluation, design, maintenance and construction-related engineering services.

Niemeyer’s focus is to expand V3’s railroad practice, capitalizing on both his established experience and V3’s project resume in the field.

“Ted brings a unique combination of railroad engineering experience and business entrepreneurship that will greatly accelerate our capabilities in the railroad market,” said Lou Gallucci, executive vice president of V3 Companies. “His deep experience in successfully performing a range of Class 1 railway projects is particularly significant.”
