VHB promoted Steve McElligott to senior vice president and national transportation agencies market leader. In his new roles, McElligott is responsible for prioritizing, developing and implementing the strategic framework for the firm's growing transportation practice.

The company says McElligott will work with local, regional and corporate leaders to assist clients with their most complex transportation challenges and help them make informed, smart decisions on where and how to improve existing and proposed infrastructure, while supporting the growth that is essential to the vitality of their communities.

“Steve’s knowledge of the market, proven leadership abilities, commitment to client satisfaction, and strategic problem-solving approach makes him ideal to lead VHB’s transportation agencies market,” said Mike McArdle, chief development officer. “I look forward to collaborating with Steve in his new role as we continue to work with transportation agencies to deliver high-profile, complex projects.”

In his 25-year career, McElligott provided technical delivery, management, oversight and strategic guidance on complex transportation programs across the country, including Amtrak’s Ivy City Upgrade, Miami Dade Transit’s East-West Corridor and Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s South Station Expansion Project.
