Whitmore Manufacturing Company names Kilpatrick as president & CEO

The Whitmore Manufacturing Company named Jeff Kilpatrick president and chief executive officer of the company on January 3, 2012.
Prior to joining Whitmore, Kilpatrick was a member of the management team of Media Recovery, Inc., of Dallas, Texas, for seven years, most recently serving as general manager of its ShockWatch division and formerly as MRI’s vice president of marketing. MRI is a portfolio company of Capital Southwest Corporation, also the principal owner of Whitmore. He is replacing Jeff Peterson, who is returning to Capital Southwest Corporation to oversee the organization’s venture capital investments within their key sector of specialty chemicals and manufacturing businesses.
“Peterson has overseen a period of record growth at Whitmore and has expanded the leadership team to ensure a smooth transition,” said Gary Martin, chairman and president of Capital Southwest Corporation. “And, Kilpatrick, an experienced general manager with a strong background in marketing, will provide skilled direction to Whitmore as new initiatives are implemented and identified.”
