Amsted RPS, Schwihag AG form joint venture

Amsted RPS and Switzerland-based Schwihag AG formed a joint venture to manufacture and supply skl style rail fastening systems to the global heavy-haul freight market.

This international collaboration will establish new manufacturing capacity at the Amsted RPS facility in Atchinson, Kan.

“Schwihag has a reputation for innovative manufacturing technologies and producing products of outstanding quality,” stated Wes Hodges, vice president of Amsted RPS. “This joint venture will allow us to meet our customers’ needs for high-performance rail fastening systems with the benefits of U.S.-based manufacturing.”
