Rocla Concrete Tie, Inc. (RCTI), supplier of pre-stressed concrete ties, has opened a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in San Jose Iturbide, Mexico.

Located along the Kansas City Southern de Mexico mainline approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of the major Mexican city of Queretaro, the new manufacturing plant also serves as the corporate office for RCTI de Mexico, a wholly owned subsidiary. The facility offers a complete line-up of products for each of the railroad sectors, including heavy-haul mainline, transit, high speed and industrial grade concrete ties.

RCTI de Mexico Vice President Eliseo Bandala, said, “The Mexican railway market is an important part of our corporate growth strategy, so when we built our newest manufacturing plant, we did so knowing that we wanted to have the ability to expand our facilities there to keep up with the growing demand of the railway industry in Mexico. We will continue to work closely with our existing clients, while developing new relationships with fellow industry clients in Mexico, expanding and integrating our facilities, production schedule and product development to meet their growing needs.”
