TranSystems hires Western Region vice president

TranSystems has hired Ayman Salama as the Western Region vice president. Salama will be based in the company's Santa Ana, Calif., office.

He has more than 25 years of experience in operations, business development and the technical disciplines of civil and structural engineering for the transportation industry.

In this role, Salama will assume complete leadership for the region and will be responsible for business development efforts, executing marketing-driven national strategies and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Salama has expertise in bridge engineering and analysis and extensive experience managing, executing and supervising roadway, bridge design and other infrastructure-based projects. He has worked on several California highway and railroad bridge projects, including more than 25 seismic retrofit projects.

“Ayman has a high level of expertise and a broad range of transportation experience,” said Paul Malir, president and chief operating officer for TranSystems. “I have full confidence in his ability to lead our West Region and to strengthen its multi-modal service offerings to clients.”
