C. L. "Larry" Laurello of Saybrook, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at his home.



Laurello was born August 27, 1938, in Ashtabula, Ohio.

After graduating from Notre Dame, Laurello worked for Koppers in Pittsburgh, Pa., until joining his father at Delta Railroad Construction in 1965. In 1979 he became president and CEO of Delta Railroad Construction.

As stated in the Ohio Star Beacon, Laurello was respected for his integrity and honesty and was humble and unwilling to take credit or receive recognition for the many contributions he made to assist those in need.
