RailComm provides Yard Control System to Wisconsin yard

Written by Jenifer Nunez, assistant editor

RailComm has provided a yard control system to a yard in Stevens Point, Wis. The yard is now able to wirelessly control 15 switches using RailComm's Domain Operations Controller (DOC®) system, RailComm's RADiANT™ data radios, universal switch machine controllers and field control panels.

RailComm says the DOC software-based control system is a command, control, communications and information (C3i) server-based platform that supports a wide variety of integrated solutions for indication, control, access and distribution of critical operational data across the corporate enterprise.

RailComm’s 2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum RADiANT data radios will be used to establish a wireless communications network linking each automated switch machine back to RailComm’s DOC System.
