NS suffers from two derailments

Norfolk Southern is currently working through two mainline derailments that will affect customers’ traffic:

· At approximately 11 p.m., Thursday, October 22, train 231/22 derailed on the mainline in Midville, Georgia affecting the movement of trains between Savannah, Georgia and Macon, Georgia. Norfolk Southern is currently detouring trains to the extent possible. Customers should expect 48-72 hours delay.

· At approximately 5:45 a.m., Friday, October 23, train 375/22 derailed on the mainline in the area of Huntingburg, Indiana, affecting the movement of trains between Louisville, Kentucky and St. Louis, Missouri. Customers should expect 12-24 hours of delay.

NS is still in the process of assessing the situation and will provide updates as conditions change.
