Portions of Boush and Bute streets close in Norfolk

Written by Administrator

Boush and Bute streets are scheduled for partial closures beginning July 21, according to the Norfolk, Va., Department of Public Works. For the next seven days, the closures will take place so that utility work may be done in preparation for light-rail construction. This is the first of two phases of work set to occur in the area.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily to complete the first phase of the project by July 24, weather permitting. Two southbound lanes on Boush Street will be reduced to one and shifted east between Bute and Freemason streets. Two-way traffic on Boush Street will be maintained at all times. One-way traffic west will be maintained on Bute Street between Boush and Duke streets for a few weeks before two-way traffic resumes.
