Santoro to serve as HNTB’s new Seattle architecture leader

Jennie Santoro, AIA, NCARB, is HNTB Corporation’s new Seattle architecture studio leader.

Based in the firm’s Bellevue, Wash., office, Santoro oversees HNTB’s growing staff of architects and structural engineers, a statement said. Additionally, Santoro will become the new client service leader for the Port of Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

“Jennie will lead HNTB’s strategic efforts to grow architecture across our market sectors in the Northwest,” said Kevin Collins, PE, Seattle office leader and vice president. “She will energize our continued collaboration with the firm’s engineers and planners to deliver the full spectrum of services needed to support our clients. Her strong leadership will help continue to expand our architecture practice in aviation, transit and sports projects.”

Santoro, an NCARB certified registered architect, has worked for HNTB in Los Angeles, San Diego and Washington, D.C., officials said.

She brings more than a decade of experience with some of the nation’s largest and most complex aviation projects and has also worked on HNTB projects at international airports in Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Oakland, Hawaii and Bermuda.

“With a stellar architecture and aviation career at HNTB, Jennie offers our clients significant national experience and will be a tremendous advocate to help them navigate their most challenging projects,” said Chris Migneron, AIA, NCARB, HNTB architecture national practice leader and senior vice president. “Her broad skillset and strong leadership abilities will help shape aviation design-build, planning and innovation for years to come.”

Santoro earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in architecture from the Catholic University of America, School of Architecture and Planning, in Washington, D.C.

She is active in industry organizations including theAmerican Institute of Architects, Airport Consultants Council and the Airport Cooperative Research Program.

HNTB also said Santoro is passionate about mentorship, sharing her expertise as part of HNTB’s Spark Mentorship Program as well as the ACE Mentorship Program.
