Amtrak Trains in Michigan Suspended for Two Months

MICHIGAN – Amtrak suspends several trains in Michigan for improvements.

Amtrak has announced a service alert that routes from various cities in Michigan to Chicago will suspend operations starting July 31st through the first week in October. These routes include trains running through the following cities: New Buffalo, Niles, Dowagiac, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Albion, Jackson, Ann Arbor, and Dearborn. 

The Wolverine Trains 350 and 353 will not run Monday through Thursday between Pontiac and Chicago, but they will still run Friday through Sunday. During the closure, both Amtrak and the Michigan DOT will work on maintenance to the existing infrastructure. Other trains including the Blue Water Trains 364 and 365 as well as Trains 351, 352, 354, and 355 will still be running.
