Shawn Vecellio joins TTCI as SAVP – operations and safety

Shawn Vecellio has joined TTCI as Senior Assistant Vice President–Operations & Safety. Shawn’s 26 years of experience in the rail industry provides a strong foundation to lead TTCI’s Operations and Safety teams.

Prior to joining TTCI, Shawn was Assistant Vice President, Engineering for Kansas City Southern (KCS) overseeing track maintenance, capital programs, geometry testing, rail testing, signaling, union relations, facilities, and track material standards for KCS’ U.S., Mexico, and Panama Canal territories. Shawn began his railroad career with BNSF and progressed through roles at Omnitrax and CSX Transportation as Superintendent, Roadmaster, Foreman, Engineering Technical Trainer, and Manager of Program Construction.

Shawnhas been involved with various technical advisory groups, as well as AREMA Committees 4 and 5, and Operation Lifesaver. He has served as Chairman for the AAR Engineering PolicyCommitteeand the North American ChiefEngineers. Heearneda Bachelor of Business Management degree from Baker University and is a Certified Trainer,Technical Instructor,and aSix Sigma Yellow Belt.
