A new era has begun with the signing of the contract to increase manufacturing capacities at Plasser American on August 28, 2020. The expansion is their commitment to the Chesapeake, VA site and products “Made in USA”. As a big family and part of the railroad system that show Plasser American’s longstanding regional footprint.

Project

Besides a new office building, the entire assembly area including the warehouse will be expanded to 229,000 square foot. Output will be increased by more than 100 % due to the new assembly production flow, the efficient design of the workspaces and additional employees.

The three main steps are:

  1. New Office building by 2021
  2. Expansion of the assembly area and the warehouse by 2022
  3. Campus enhancements by 2023

The estimated investment will be 52.6 million US dollars.

The expansion will provide approximately 98 new jobs for the area. All construction work will be carried out by local companies.
