Douglas Campbell is TNW Corporation’s (TNW) new director of Infrastructure and Strategic Initiatives (DISI).

TNW, a privately held operator of shortline railroads and logistics centers, has selected Campbell to work out of the company’s corporate offices in Dallas. He reports directly to Jeff Davis, TNW’s Chief Operating Officer, according to a statement.

“We are pleased to have an experienced professional like Doug join the management team,” Davis said. “His extensive background in the logistics of railroad engineering and operations with experience in strategic planning will help us become a more efficient and effective transportation logistics company for our customers.”

As director of ISI, Campbell is tasked with helping to further develop TNW’s overall business strategy and managing its Key Performance Indicators (KPI) program.

Officials said Campbell will manage ongoing operational activities and improvements, in addition to supervising all engineering personnel, initiatives and infrastructure.

Campbell brings to his new role more than 20 years of experience in the railway industry. Before he joined TNW, Campbell served as the senior executive for the New Orleans Public Belt Railway, where he held several leadership roles, including time as interim chief executive officer, executive vice president, general manager and vice president of engineering.

Prior to joining the New Orleans Public Belt Railway, Campbell held the role of director of Engineering and Maintenance at South Carolina Public Railways. He is a certified locomotive engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.
