HNTB taps Gale as Great Lakes Division president

Chris Gale, PE, is the new president of HNTB Corporation’s Great Lakes Division.

In his new role, Gale will manage operations, project delivery and client service in seven states, including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

HNTB said Gale leads 600 professionals who provide transit and rail, aviation, highway, bridge, and toll projects to improve mobility. He is based in the firm’s downtown Indianapolis office.

“HNTB is growing in the Great Lakes Division as our core market sectors build momentum,” said Mike Inabinet, PE, Central Region president. “Chris is a proven and well-respected industry leader whose contributions will keep the firm, its clients and the communities we serve moving forward. He not only understands the technical elements of our projects, but has great vision on how these projects interact with the needs of our communities and the policies of our clients and governments.”

Gale brings to the role nearly 23 years in experience with HNTB in several roles. The firm said he most recently served as senior vice president and division sales officer, a role in which he helped to grow client relationships in the region.

Gale’s project experience includes planning, design and construction for transit, roadway, drinking water and wastewater facilities.

HNTB said he actively represents the firm in civic and industry-related associations, helps recruit top talent to the firm and facilitates relationships with clients.

Gale is an alumnus ofPurdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
