Protran Technology names deputy director – field engineering and training

Protran Technology, a division of Harsco Rail, has hired Clay Bunting as deputy director, where he will further develop its growing range of safety technology for track workers and track inspection technology.

Bunting spent the past 35 years as a transit and railroad professional at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) where he held several senior level positions including general superintendent track and structures and director, capital programs and planning.

Protran Technology says Bunting has an extensive background in track and structure infrastructure maintenance, inspections and rehabilitation. He served as chairman of WMATA’s Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) Task Force and chairman of RWP Committee where he was lead in the development of WMATA’s RWP Program.
