SEPTA’s Jenkintown-Wyncote Station To Receive Upgrades

JENKINTOWN, Pa. – SEPTA’s Jenkintown-Wyncote Station will see various upgrades and improvements as part of a Station Accessibility Program.

As the 9^th busiest station in its regional rail system, the station is located along SEPTA’s Main Line in Montgomery County at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and West Avenue. These station improvements are part of a larger capital investment program in which “it is making stations accessible, acquiring new vehicles, investing in communications, and upgrading services for our buses, Metro, and rail,” according to Patch. The work being done at Jenkintown-Wyncote Station will made it ADA-accessible and includes a new pedestrian overpass, covered walkways, and high-level platforms.

Now that the design is currently underway, construction is scheduled to begin anywhere between summer 2025 and winter 2027.
