On Saturday, November 20, and Saturday, December 4, MetroLink in the St. Louis area will operate special service from the beginning of service until 12:00 p.m. noon to accommodate required maintenance of MetroLink tracks on the Eads Bridge over the Mississippi River. Blue Line trains, which typically operate between Shrewsbury and Fairview Heights, will instead operate from Shrewsbury to the Civic Center MetroLink Station. Red Line trains will continue to operate on their regular route from the Lambert Airport to Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations. Passengers traveling east on Blue Line trains who wish to continue their commute beyond the Civic Center MetroLink Station will need to transfer to a Red Line train at or before the Civic Center MetroLink Station. Passengers traveling west who normally board Blue Line trains toward Shrewsbury will need to first board a Red Line train then transfer to a Blue Line train between the Civic Center and Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Stations. During the adjusted service, customers should expect minor delays and are advised to allow extra time for their commutes. |
