MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. – On the Red Line Project, contractors have finished rail replacement work at the Alfred Street grade crossing.

On July 16th, the track reopened. With the completion of this replacement work, the Red Line rail shuttle is able to operate between Overbrook Junction and Dormont Junction with frequency every 15 minutes during weekday rush hours.

The project began on June 16th, and PRT reports it will finish by the end of August. This shuttle will allow passengers to travel between these Junctions to connect to the Blue Line at Willow Station and continue travelling to downtown Pittsburgh.
