Gorrill brings with him 25+ years of engineering experience. This includes 20 years in the Chicago area. His work encompasses managing design-bid-build and design-build projects that involve “complex and long-span bridge design, inspection, rehabilitation, and load rating across the Midwest, and he is familiar with consultant and DOT bridge staff throughout the region.” In the position of National Discipline Manager of Bridges and Structures, Gorrill will report to Chief Engineer Bob Matthews and be based in the Chicago office where he will oversee nationwide projects. With his joining RailPros’ engineering division, RailPros says this will further strengthen the work performed on infrastructure projects across North America. Gorrill holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer.

CEO of RailPros Ken Goff said, “George’s entrance affords us a significant opportunity to expand our services for new and existing clients. . . As the latest addition in a series of new hires, George will help us continue to build on our engineering team’s current strengths and grow our capabilities.”

Gorrill expressed excitement at joining RailPros and leading the “Bridge and Structures Group, where we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of rail infrastructure . . . Together we’ll drive innovation and deliver exceptional results that leave a lasting impact on the industry,” said Gorrill.
