BETHESDA, Md. - In the Purple Line Newsletter, Purple Line Senior Project Director, Ray Biggs II shared construction updates in both Montgomery and Prince George's Counties.

The newsletter, below, breaks down the progress made from May 2024 to September 2024. Throughout the previous summer, project teams welcomed the first of seven light rail vehicles to the Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF), completed construction on Campus Drive, and Purple Line Transit Operators (PLTO) took over the OMF, where it is now “a hub of major activity with catenary wire installation and other critical testing preparation.”
