Michael Baker International Names Tanya Currie as EVP and Chief HR Officer

PITTSBURGH - Michael Baker International has announced Tanya Currie will join the firm as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

In this role at Michael Baker Intl., Currie will spearhead HR programs to “accomplish key business objectives and implement cultural and organizational change.” Her work includes ensuring programs are in place to focus on retaining and building employee talent. In this role, Currie will also work on enhancing the firm’s total rewards strategy to support benefits and wellness programs for employees. Michael Baker Intl. states Currie will work to attract top talent in order to grow and improve the firm as a whole. Part of her duties also includes expanding the “strategic impact of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) by increasing their focus on driving retention and providing opportunities to learn, grow and advance through career pathing at all levels of the organization.”

Coming from AECOM, Tanya Currie previously worked as Global Head of HR Business Partners & Talent Acquisition. She has more than 25 years of experience in HR within the global infrastructure industry. Previously, she has worked to retain talent, engage employees in partnership, and led global programs in talent acquisition. Currie also holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
