Koppers Releases 2024 Corporate Sustainability Report

PITTSBURGH - Koppers has released its 2024 Corporate Sustainability Report in which it details the progress of its Sustainability Plan.

The Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR), in full below, shows Koppers achieving a Total Recordable Incident Rate, or TRIR, of 2.52. This is the lowest in the company’s history, according to the report. Additionally, the company reports a 53% increase in solar energy production. Other highlights from the report include Koppers’ delivery of 40,000 utility poles to support recovery efforts after devastating hurricanes in fall 2024, the launch of Koppers Sustainability Cloud, and recognition in Newsweek and USA Today.

“In 2024, we strengthened our Sustainability strategy and governance in multiple ways, maintaining responsible stewardship as we promote business growth,” added Stephanie Apostolou, Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer and Secretary. “Our roadmap for 2025 and beyond includes setting new targets through 2030, ensuring that Sustainability remains a foundational element of our operations, driving innovation, risk management and long-term value creation.”
