Anthony Evett Named Vice President of Design and Construction at Patriot Rail

JACKSONVILLE –– Patriot Rail announced this week that Anthony Evett will become its Vice President of Design and Construction.
Describing Evett as “a seasoned infrastructure and engineering executive with over two decades of experience in transportation, maritime, and freight, infrastructure,” the company added that he will lead Patriot Rail’s industrial development portfolio.

His extensive expertise in infrastructure and multimodal logistics –– combined with his skill in stakeholder coordination –– will make him a key driver of our growing industrial development priorities. Tony’s strategic alignment of engineering initiatives with economic growth is a major asset to our team.”
Evett started his career as a Design Engineer at the Texas Department of Transportation. Prior to joining Patriot Rail, he served as Chief Engineering Officer at the Port of New Orleans, Project Manager at Volkert, Inc., and Quality Control Systems Manager at Shaw Environmental. At Shaw, he led Quality Assurance for a 1.3B flood control project.
Evett has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Alabama A&M University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana. Patriot Rail adds that “His leadership has driven transformative greenfield and brownfield developments, including design and permitting for the $1.8B Louisiana International Container Terminal.” His experience includes coordinating with state DOTs, federal agencies, Class I railroads and local stakeholders to align infrastructure with national freight and economic priorities.
