MAHWAH, N.J. - NJ Transit has completed renovations at Mahwah Station.

According to NJ Transit, the renovation project sought to improve the customer travel experience and modernize the station with safety and aesthetic upgrades. Crews replaced the roof, a stairway, and a retaining wall. Additionally, NJ Transit says crews installed architectural railings and relocated electrical equipment as well as improved drainage, worked on landscaping, and added a new concrete apron. On the station’s exterior, crews made improvements to brick and partial stucco, lighting, stairs, and information displays.

NJ Transit President and CEO Kris Kolluri said, “With exterior upgrades now in place, Mahwah Station is already offering our customers a safer, more welcoming and more inviting space. . . It’s just one example of over 20 NJ TRANSIT station projects currently in progress, all aimed at strengthening the customer experience through thoughtful, long-term investment.”
