BNSF Minnesota Team Marks Two Years Injury-Free

BRAINERD, Minn. - The 101 team members at the Brainerd, Minnesota facility have reached two years with no reportable injuries and ten years with only two reportable injuries.
BNSF says the rail equipment repair facility manufactured 1,021 pieces of equipment and repaired 77 units over the course of 10 years. This work necessitates the members “face a range of safety exposures, from welding and grinding to electrical systems, hydraulics and overhead cranes to forklifts.”
Shop Manager Shawn Andrews said of the team, “They look out for one another, participate in task-specific briefings and truly care about everyone going home each day the same way they showed up for work. . . Be your brother’s keeper.”
