Michael Naatz Named Chief Operating Officer at Anacostia Rail Holdings

CHICAGO — Anacostia Rail Holdings (ARH) this week announced the appointment of Michael Naatz as its Chief Operating Officer.

According to Peter A. Gilbertson, Anacostia’s President and CEO, “Mike brings a strong supply chain background to our railroads. His success in a broad range of transportation and logistics positions––and our previous experience with him as an industry peer––makes us confident in his ability to provide strategic leadership and execution that supports the needs of our customers and growth.”

Naatz comes to Anacostia from Kansas City Southern, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, Operations Support and Chief Information Officer. In this role, he led intermodal operations, mechanical, service design, and information technology. Prior to his time with KCS, he was president of YRC Holland, a division of YRC Worldwide (YRC). Before this, he was YRC’s Chief Customer Officer, leading the sales, customer service, pricing, quality, and information technology teams. He began his career at Westvaco, a global

packaging company.

Naatz holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also earned a certificate in distribution management from DePaul University.
