Cathcart Rail To Provide Repairs For PNWR

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Cathcart Rail announced it will be the running repair agent for car inspection and mechanical services for Portland & Western Railroad's (PNWR) 478-mile network.
Cathcart Rail‘s team of 13 carmen and regional managers will handle car inspections and repair of FRA and AAR defects at all of PNWR’s major Oregon yards. These are located in Albany, Eugene, Salem, McMinnville, and St. Helens. Cathcart Rail operates the largest railcar services network as well as a rail services division “that operates short line railroads and contract switching and transloading sites, among other services such as railcar storage and track maintenance.”
PNWR was “founded in 1995 and [is] headquartered in Albany, Oregon[.] PNWR supports the lumber, ag products and fuels customers of the vast Willamette Valley from Eugene to Portland and the surrounding communities.”
