Fox named executive vice president operations, BNSF

BNSF promoted Greg Fox to executive vice president, Operations, reporting to Carl Ice, president and chief operating officer. Operations functions reporting to Fox include Engineering; Mechanical; Transportation; Safety, Training and Operations Support; and Resource Protection. Fox will also serve as a member of BNSF's Executive Team.

builds strong work teams and processes. Under Greg’s guidance and vision, we
have made great strides in Transportation and many other areas. We look forward
to his contribution as he brings these same strengths to leading our entire
Operations organization."

Fox has served as vice
president, transportation, since May 2007. Prior to that he was vice president,
engineering, starting in September 2002.

He began his railroad
career in 1984 as a corporate management trainee in Fort Worth for the former
Burlington Northern. Fox has held such operations positions as trainmaster,
terminal trainmaster and terminal superintendent.

During his career with
BNSF, he has also held positions with increasing responsibility in finance and strategic
planning, information technology and eBusiness. Fox was named vice president, technology
services and chief information officer in April 2001.

Fox holds a bachelor’s
degree in finance and transportation management from the University of Colorado
and a Master of Business Administration in corporate finance from Avila
College.
