AECOM Selected To Provide Design, Environmental, Project Management Services for Sound Transit

DALLAS - Sound Transit has selected AECOM to deliver design, planning, environmental services, project and construction management (PMCM) services through three multiple-award task order contracts (MATOCs).

According to the release, AECOM is the prime firm on the five-year Design MATOC. As such, it will lead the civil and structural engineering work delivery from preliminary engineering to full design development. In total, Sound Transit issued 19 MATOCs under the program, which it says are “expected to generate $1 billion in engineering services over the period of performance, and will address the implementation of new facilities, upgrades, and state-of-good repair work across the Seattle metropolitan region.” On the Environmental MATOC, AECOM will act as a subconsultant and provide planning studies and environmental services for new and renewal projects.

As subconsultant, this includes systemwide planning, investigations, assessments, and environmental clearance activities. It also provides support on the PMCM MATOC, which includes project and construction management activities across Sound Transit’s projects.
