TORONTO - Major construction at Metrolinx's Bradford GO station is complete.
Bradford GO Station connects Simcoe County, York Region, Barrie and Toronto. Metrolinx states the population in Simcoe County is expected to increase, and the upgrades made at Bradford GO Station are necessary to improve customer experience. The passenger pick-up and drop-off area is now relocated next to the train or bus.

Additionally, there is a new pathway and sidewalk for better station access and marked pedestrian crossings. Bradford GO Station also features improved lighting and CCTV cameras for enhanced safety and an upgraded stormwater management system for better rainwater collection. At the station, there are also now three new bus bays and heated shelter at the bus loop opening on June 28th. The station also has new lighting and digital board for displaying schedule information.

The improvements made at Bradford GO Station are part of Metrolinx’s GO Expansion program. The program looks to add new stations and tracks to allow for faster trains. According to Metrolinx, C$12 billion is being invested in the program.
