PRT Will Perform Maintenance on Several Blue Line Stations

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Regional Transit will close multiple T stations on its Blue Line to allow for maintenance work.
Over the next several weekends, the PRT will close a list of stations (below) to allow crews to perform maintenance work. The work will begin at 8 p.m. each Friday until the start of service on Monday morning. According to the report, crews will “apply an epoxy coating that seals the concrete, preventing water from seeping into the concrete platforms.”
- Friday, August 23rd at 8 p.m. to Monday, August 26th: Boggs Station
- Friday, September 6th at 8 p.m. to Monday, September 9th: Denise Station
- Friday, September 13th at 8 p.m. to Monday, September 16th: Memorial Hall Station
- Thursday, September 26th at 7 a.m. to Monday, September 30th: Overbrook Junction – Crews will construct a temporary low-level platform for riders to board and deboard the car.
Similar work will take place in October and November. As of reporting, those dates have not been announced.
