BALTIMORE - The February 2025 Purple Line Newsletter was released from MDOT; it includes construction updates from the Purple Line Project.

Ray Biggs II, Purple Line Senior Project Director, MTA shared the progress made on the Purple Line Project. According to the newsletter, the project is now more than 74% complete with 35% of the track installation complete. Additionally, several miles of sidewalk have been installed and 20 of 21 future stations are currently under construction. At these stations, 12 canopies have been installed.

Previously, it announced 2025 as the “Year of Transformation,” and this has been demonstrated in the installation of tracks, lighting, CCTV, and ventilation equipment. To commemorate Transit Equity Day, Rosa Parks on February 4th, and Black History Month, the Purple Line newsletter takes the opportunity to “reflect, learn, and celebrate.” Below is a PDF of the newsletter, courtesy of MDOT.
