SacRT Begins Construction Work November 1

SACRAMENTO - Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will begin major construction work in November on a portion of the Blue Line.
From November 1 to 15, light rail service on part of the Blue Line will be temporarily suspended to accommodate construction work on the Dos Rios light rail station, according to SacRT. During this time, crews will relocate infrastructure components such as the overhead catenary system (OCS) and inbound and outbound track configurations.
Near the Marconi/Arcade station is the Light Rail Operations and Maintenance Facility, so trains will not be able to pass through the construction zone. SacRT says temporary storage tracks will be used for train operation maintenance and inspections during this 15-day closure.
