TORONTO - The Request for Proposals has closed for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension stations, rail, and systems.

According to Infrastructure Ontario, this SRS package included the design and construction of seven stations and installation of rail and systems for a 9.2km extension. This also includes work at the Mount Dennis Station to connect the ECWE to future Eglinton Crosstown service.

There are four major packages for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension. The first is the Stations, Rail and Systems contract. The second is the first advance tunnel contract from Renforth Drive to Scarlett Road, and the third is a second advance tunnel contract from Jane Street to Mount Dennis Station. The fourth major package of work is the elevated guideway contract between Scarlett Road and Jane Street.
