MBTA Red Line Transformation Progress

BOSTON – The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority released a progress update on its Red Line Transformation.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority released a progress update on its Red Line Transformation. The projects and their progress within the transformation are as follows:
Crews have completed 32% of the Cabot Yard and Maintenance Facility project and 6% of the Codman Yard Expansion and Improvements. This past week’s Cabot Yard work saw crews setting up a dewatering system ahead of a duct bank installation. Future work will include excavating and installing duct banks.
The Codman Yard Expansion and Improvements included an excavation of trenches “to place new duct banks, [removal of] existing pipes and utilities, and [crews] continued with vegetation removal.” According to the MBTA, future work will include duct bank installation, vegetation management, and track work.
