SEATTLE - Sound Transit closed four stations Sunday November 16 to allow crews to repair cracked rail.

Crews discovered the embedded rail north of Westlake Light Link Rail station is cracked after routine inspections in the fall. Now, Sound Transit has closed the Westlake, Symphony, Pioneer Square, and Chinatown International District stations to allow for necessary repairs to take place. According to the report, Sound Transit said the cracks are from “general wear and tear.”
