NORTH BERGEN, N.J. –– Watco has started operating a new transload facility for the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway Corporation (NYSW) in North Bergen, New Jersey.

This agreement enables Watco to provide transloading services, allowing NYSW to focus on its core business while leveraging Watco’s expertise to enhance efficiency.

The North Bergen Transload Terminal is strategically positioned to support the area’s burgeoning
industries, including lumber, bulk products, energy, agriculture, and steel.

“We’re excited to bring our transloading expertise to this partnership to enhance productivity and
introduce new opportunities and solutions for our current and future customers,” said Marc Massoglia, Watco Senior Vice President of Terminal and Port Sales. “This prime distribution site is ideally situated to support numerous growth projects planned for the region and beyond.”

North Bergen offers convenient access to nearly all major highways in northeastern New Jersey, making it a prime distribution site within the Metropolitan New York area. The terminal connects with Class I railroads Norfolk Southern and CSX, providing access to essential roadways, including I-95, Route 40, Route 55, and Routes 1 & 9.

This rail-to-truck facility includes five storage and 13.8 acres dedicated to laydown storage. The secured site is paved, fenced, well-lit, and monitored for security.
