Carl Walker of CSX Receives 2025 RT&S Engineer of the Year Award at AREMA Conference

INDIANAPOLIS –– Carl Walker, Vice President of Engineering at CSX, was presented with the RT&S Engineer of the Year Award at the opening session of the AREMA Conference being held this week in Indianapolis.

The award was presented to Carl at the opening session of the AREMA Conference in Indianapolis. Jon Chalon, Publisher of Railway Age, Railway Track & Structures, and International Railway Journal, presented the award to Carl.

Chalon said “We are pleased to present the Engineer of the Year Award to Carl, who has had distinguished communications engineering careers with both the U.S. Navy and CSX.”
Carl said, “Receiving this award is quite an honor for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the U.S. Navy and the time I’ve been at CSX. Both have been rewarding growth experiences, and I thank RT&S for this recognition.”
