Canadian Pacific train derailment causes huge fire

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. is reporting that a Canadian Pacific train derailed and caught on fire around 6 a.m. ET today in the village of Guernsey, Sask., which is located about 65 miles southeast of Saskatoon. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has received reports that the train was carrying crude oil.
Canadian Pacific confirmed to CBC that the train had derailed, emergency responders had been dispatched, and that CP was conducting an initial review of the situation. Guernsey has a population of about 100 people, and firefighters were evacuating the area.
