CN Upgrades Track From Liberty to Montgomery

CHICAGO - CN has completed project work in the Chicago region, with trains traversing on upgraded track from Liberty to Montgomery.
According to CN, crews worked to upgrade 2.5 miles of track to increase capacity and reduce congestion. In a post on LinkedIn, CN shared photos (below) of the project work. With the completion of the project, freight can move more smoothly through this “critical rail hub.”
The Class I thanked the crews “whose hard work improves the service we provide our customers every day, makes our network more efficient, and keeps the economy moving.”
