LOMBARD, Ill. - Transdev's rail division will redeck two rail bridges as part of the Pacific Harbor Line's track rehabilitation project.

Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles’ project includes replacing 9-9-12-foot timber ties and 20-foot cat walk ties on the single-track Dominguez Bridge and the double-track Badger Bridge. Over three to four weeks, crews will work in 12 hour windows to complete the upgrades to ensure “long-term durability of the structures.” The Pacific Harbor Line (PHL) connects two Class I railroads with nine intermodal terminals. By replacing ties and reducing, these upgrades will “enhance freight efficiency and reliability, enforcing Transdev’s commitment to long-term rail sustainability.”

General Manager of Transdev’s rail division Chris Burgess said, “Ensuring the safety of our workforce is paramount . . . Bridge work presents unique challenges, and our team is highly trained to operate in these conditions. Every team member is outfitted with fall protection, and we enforce strict safety protocols to ensure they can perform their work efficiently and without risk. Their dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards allows us to complete critical infrastructure projects while prioritizing the well-being of our employees.”
