Watco Terminal and Port Services hired Jeff Lederer as general manager at the Pecos Valley Southern Railway (PVSR) in Pecos, Texas. Lederer will be succeeding Mike Salts, who will be returning to the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad (SKOL).

As general manager, Lederer will carry full responsibility for the overall performance of the shortline and trans¬loading operations. In conjunction with supporting Watco’s Customer First Foundation Principles, he will be reinforcing our continuous improvement culture with an intense focus on driving safety and operational efficiencies. Additionally, Lederer will be promoting local Class 1 railroad rela¬tions, ensuring targeted profitability and attaining expected performance targets.

Prior to joining the Watco Team, Lederer most recently served as the division general manager North Lines for OmniTRAX, Inc. Prior to that opportunity, he spent 19 years with the BNSF, beginning his career as a brakeman and progressing through the organization at increasingly levels of responsibility and leadership.
