BOSTON - Haverhill Station will open on June 30th for regular service, according to Keolis Commuter Services.
Keolis, MBTA’s operations and maintenance partner for Commuter Rail for more than 10 years, announced that due to the return of service to Haverhill Station, shuttle vans between Haverhill and Bradford Station will no longer be used.
The MBTA used “accelerated” techniques for constructing the South Elm Street Bridge project. The previous structure was close to 120 years old. Now, the new structure consists of a modern single-span structure with a ballasted steel deck. Additionally, crews worked on the roadway and sidewalk and made drainage improvements.
